Hey yo! I am Firdaus and I am currently working as a civil servant under the contract administration for our transportation system. I like eating and I have 5 cats at home. As a Programmes member, my team and I develop the theme and structure of this year’s forum. We discuss and look at the topics that matter to youth, and how to attract them to be part of the conversation.
Why did you want to part of the youth forum organisation committee?
I enjoy volunteering and helping society. I participated in many forums and focus group discussions during Covid-19 but never got the chance to organise one. So when GCNS was looking for organisers for the youth forum, I seized the opportunity. Doing so allows me to share my skills and knowledge with my fellow members, and refine them along the way.
Why do you think the involvement of youth in the resolution of sustainability issues is essential for success?
Honestly, it is a great time to be part of history where technological advancements are powerful tools for youths today. As a youth, I want to use this platform to make sure that my voice is heard and we listen to each other to create an action to ensure that we still have Earth for us to live in the future. We rally and work together to create a better future for ourselves and our children.
Motto : Act to ensure that we still have Earth for us to live in the future!
