Mock Yi Jun is Co-Founder & President of Advisory Singapore, a fully youth-led non-profit dedicated to empowering young Singaporeans from all walks of life to make informed career and further education choices. Since 2016, Advisory has supported over 163,000 young Singaporeans through its online repository of interviews with working professionals, learning journeys and industry panels with firms, and nationwide mentorship efforts. From 2017 to 2020, he was also Founding Project Leader of the SDG Students Program at the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network – Youth Initiative, a global flagship programme to bring foundational sustainability literacy to university campuses that was endorsed by former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
For his work, Yi Jun received the Queen’s Young Leaders Award from Queen Elizabeth II, the Diana Award in memory of Princess Diana’s lifetime of service, and was a Deloitte-One Young World Scholar. He is an Advisor to the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust, an Associate Fellow of the Royal Commonwealth Society, a Climate Reality Leader with former U.S. Vice President Al Gore’s Climate Reality Project, a One Young World Ambassador, and the Outgoing Curator of the Singapore Hub of the World Economic Forum Global Shapers Community. He was formerly a Youth Representative to the Jury for UN Environment’s Young Champions of the Earth, and a Youth Environment Envoy with the National Environment Agency.
Yi Jun holds a Master’s of Global Affairs from Tsinghua University where he studied as a Schwarzman Scholar and BP Fellow, and a Bachelor’s of Politics and International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
