I’m Wan Xin, a Year 1 English Literature undergraduate in NUS with a keen interest in environmental politics, as well as socially and environmentally sustainable solutions. As part of the Programmes team, I help to conceptualise the contents of the Youth Forum and reach out to a diversity of speakers.
Why did you want to part of the youth forum organisation committee?
I personally wanted to step out of my comfort zone by furthering my interest in sustainability beyond school. Furthermore, the opportunity to meet passionate people who have different perspectives on sustainability was exciting to me since it would make for the fun yet challenging task of coming up with an interesting and impactful programme!
Why do you think the involvement of youth in the resolution of sustainability issues is essential for success?
I believe that it is important to inspire cycles of change in every generation of youth, since they are the most likely to risk taking that first step towards a better future.
Motto : It’s important to inspire cycles of change in every generation of youth!
